For professional purposes, I translate exclusively from English into Spanish. I think that generally only a native speaker of a language has the kind of expertise and understanding of that language which is necessary to produce a text that is linguistically pleasing, grammatically correct and in the appropriate register.

Translation

My team

I collaborate regularly with a solid and established team of highly skilled and very experienced fellow translators, editors and engineers. Together we have taken on large and complex projects we could not have accepted individually. For us, working as a team is always a pleasure. For the customer, having such a complete and skilled team available is an added guarantee: we can cover the whole translation/localization process, with absolute consistency, smooth communication and optimal results.

Rates

The price of translations is generally based on the number of source words. Checking jobs will be invoiced either by source words or by the time. I struggle to provide high quality translations and always meet the deadlines, so I expect a fair remuneration, but rates will not usually be a problem.
